This course is intended for office workers, business professionals, and anyone who is interested in obtaining extra-useful knowledge and skills in MS Office, as well as uncovering some hardly-known but very helpful features and functions.  This ten-week intensive course will streamline your workday, making tasks and projects easier and more efficient as you learn to fully integrate different applications to achieve higher productivity and presentability.  As an MS-Office power user, you will be the master of MS Office Suite’s most powerful functions, tools, applications, and integrative capabilities.  Topics to be covered include:

  • Tasks performed by Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook

  • Advanced features of the versatile Word (i.e. track changes, merge documents, insert tables and diagrams from Excel, illustrate pictures, etc.)

  • Use Excel to create your own specific spreadsheets (i.e. balance sheets, expense statements, sales invoices, time cards, etc.) and diagrams

  • Integrate Word and Excel with PowerPoint to create an impressive presentation

  • Introduction to Access and advanced database features  

  • An exploration of Outlook’s personal assistant functions (appointment alerts, reminders, calendar, address book, office meeting notice, group email, etc.)

  • Microsoft Office XP/2003 tips and tricks (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook)

  • Windows XP (configuring, restoring, data recovery, spyware/virus defense and more)

Registration Procedure:
Please register
online first to reserve your place.  You will then receive a confirmation email.  Next, payment must be made on site at the ELC Learning Annex during the payment dates (you can come in person or send someone).

Please note: Our classes are kept small for the students' benefit (generally between 5 and 10 people), so please register early to reserve your place.  Your place in the class cannot be guaranteed until payment has been received.  Any course that does not meet sufficient enrollment may be cancelled and a full refund provided upon presentation of your original receipt.
